Otto Farkas
Biography
I grew up in Hungary and started to paint at age 14. My first solo exhibition was in 1995 followed by many other from Germany through USA to London. I had my recent exhibition at Menier Gallery, London in September 2016.
I use the classic medium of oil on canvas technique that allows the most familiar colors and abstract situations to be developed. In my recent works, I give more attention to details and symbolizing an idea" how our bodies are built up in atomic level. I use simple shapes like perforated metal and lighting colors to create 3D effects. I create atmospheric, powerful eye catching images balanced with soft and vibrant colors. The compositions are tight and minimalistic, giving enough space to the storyline, letting the emotions take on full attention.
